Israel and Hamas agree to extend truce for two more days, and free more hostages TEL AVIV, Israel (AP) — Israel and Hamas agreed to extend their cease-fire for two more days past Monday, the Qatari government said, bringing the prospect of a longer halt to their deadliest and most destructive war and further exchanges of Israeli hostages for Palestinians captured by Israel.The announcement, made by Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman Majid Al Ansary in a post on X, came on the final day of the original four-day truce between the warring sides. (WGNO) — Federal authorities are investigating after a passenger allegedly jumped from a plane's emergency exit at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport on Sunday. The plane, a Southwest Airlines aircraft, was on the skyway and not moving at the time, according to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office.A passenger, who has not yet been identified, jumped from the plane's emergency exit and onto a wing. The passenger was caught on the tarmac and taken to a hospital to be evaluated. ELGIN, Texas (KXAN) -- The body of a 7-year-old boy who went missing in Bastrop County on Sunday was found in a pond near his house. According to the Bastrop County Sheriff's Office, Jesus Castellanos-Carreon's parents noticed he was missing around 2:43 p.m. Sunday and immediately began searching for him. After finding signs that Jesus may have gone into a large pond near their residence, the parents called 911. BCSO and first responders from several other agencies went to the area and began an air, water and ground search. The water rescue team from the Austin Police Department located Jesus' body in the pond at 7:50 p.m.  The water temperature was 56 degrees, and crews found his body in five feet of water.
